The British Safety Council (BSC) Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (QCF) has been introduced in 2014 to anyone considering to start a construction career. This is the mandatory qualification for the Green Labourers’ CSCS Card valid for five years’.

As per our commitments to our learners’ needs, we have invested a lot of research time and resources to create our very own ePortfolio System, available to our learners’ on any operating system and device (Windows/Mac/Android/iOS) from December 2018 at www.cdc.org.uk

entry

No formal entry requirements, everyone is free to register. This course is designed for existing labourers in the construction industry, and to anyone considering a career in construction.

You don’t need to work in the construction industry to can register for this course.

assessment

The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment course is being delivered over a period of one day and there’s a 100% classroom attendance required.

The course is being delivered via classroom training and at the end of the course you’ll have to sit a computer-based 40 multiple-choice test.

duration

The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment course is being delivered via classroom training over one full day.

A high level of support will be provided by your Tutor/Trainer which will enable you to understand the basic principles of health and safety in a unique way.

accreditation

Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, students are awarded an British Safety Council Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (QCF) eCertificate.

British Safety Council is recognised by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) when applying for a CSCS card to work on a UK construction site. Applicants must also pass the CSCS health, safety and environment test in order to obtain the Green Labourers’ CSCS Card valid for five years’.
